Confidentiality

All sessions are private and confidential. However, it can be helpful to share information, for example with a GP.

In line with my profesional duty, confidentiality will only be broken if there are immediate fears for a client’s safety or the safety of someone else. Where possible this will occur in discussion with the client about who should be told, and how and when they should be told.

I might discuss my therapy work in my regular supervision with another qualified practitioner. This is to ensure that my work is of good quality and well considered. All personal details of clients discussed in this way are kept anonymous.
